Maryland tailgating

Anyone have any info about tailgating at the Maryland game? I have about 50 family and friends who are looking to do this.....Any info would help
 

No experience doing it at Maryland, but this is probably a good place to start. Here's a better map (PDF). Also, you can purchase ahead of time here.

Here's some very quick insight from one of their fans last year. Guessing you can't do lots 1 and 9 because they're scholarship donation lots but someplace nearby would probably work.

Anyone know how far the Metro station is from the Stadium? Will be visiting our son in Arlington and heading up to the game Saturday and still figuring out the best way to get there.
 



We were going to crash my son's fraternity tailgate party! I'm sure they won't mind us Gopher fans dressed in Maroon and Gold!
 

11:00 kickoff. Yes, we're used to that, but it's still pretty early after an active Friday night in DC.

We'll have a group of six. We'll probably opt for a bar around the stadium or on the way from the Metro. Does anybody know of any good places or know where Gopher fans might be?
 

We will have a group of 7 and unfortunately will have no car. To tailgate, you need to buy a parking pass in advance for $17. See the map above. If anyone has a spot we would love to join them. There does not seem to be any bars nearby that open before 10:00 AM. This place is not setup for pregame partying. It seems tailgating is the best option if a person can make it work.
 

Remember that this game is being played in the Eastern Time Zone, so it is a NOON start.
 



Saturday, October 15
College Park, Maryland
Samuel Riggs Alumni Center, across the street from the stadium for easy access to the game.
In addition to the opportunity to celebrate with Gopher fans in a location across the street from the stadium, the pre-game celebration will include a program with University dignitaries, the spirit squads, Goldy, and a full buffet. A cash bar will be available.
