Maryland loses key recruit because he loves his Reese's

I think his attorney should employ the Twinkie Defense.

Reading up on Maryland, that program sounds like it's just short of a dumpster fire right now. Their frontcourt will be an extremely foul-prone PF and a freshman european big with really no one backing them up. Of course, they do have a 5-star freshman PG coming in, which goes a long way, but it sounds like there's just a general malaise over the program right now.

5 scholarship players transferring in the offseason tends to do that to you. Now add Reed, and that's almost half the would-be roster gone.

Our game at Maryland is a good opportunity for a conference road win.

The pain continues for the trips too... Their highly touted 7' 1" center, Trayvon Reed, was dismissed and will not be allowed to enroll at Maryland after being charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and theft. The outlook for that program for 2014-2015 season is crumbling

Do you not realize that this is what the whole thread is about? Didn't you click on the link to the article? Haha.

I have four young kids and it's the weekend! Perhaps you don't understand what that is like... So pardon me for the mistake.

I retract this post. Is that better, GameDay?

You're fine! Just giving you a hard time.
Maryland should be set at the guard spots with Dez Wells, Melo Trimble, and Richaud Pack getting basically all of the PG/SG minutes. And while Layman and Smotrcyz (or however you spell it) are nice players, neither is a true inside presence.
Losing Cleare, Mitchell, and Reed were huge losses for that frontcourt, and it bodes well for the Gophers when they play the Terps. Mo and EE can really go to work in those 2 games.

More than anything, i'm just glad Maryland is in the Big as it means I will actually get to see a few Gophers games out here.

Trayvon Reed went from being a Terp to a Perp...just like that!

I know nothing about this athlete - but in my experience, people just don't start doing things like that out of the blue. I wonder if he has had similar incidents in the past - or has been able to get away with it.

We know how Florida State would handle it, see Winston, Jameis, he of the multiple off-field transgressions. The greater your talent (or proven talent), the wider your smile, the more you can get away with a being a complete sleazeball.

Not too far off from what Royce did. Stealing and shoving the security guard down on the floor.

That was not Royce's fault. It was his anxiety disorder.
