Maryland C Diamond Stone suspended for Thursday's game

Well he certainly earned it, I couldn't believe that he wasn't ejected from the game

Still have Trimble, Sulaimon, Carter, Chivosky, and Layman, but Stone would've destroyed our bigs

I totally agree. I called this suspension at the time. It will make the game a little more interesting.

Our chances just went from 2% to something far great than 2%. Maybe 20%?

Have we had weirdly good luck with teams' top players sitting out against us? Michigan State with no Valentine, Purdue with no Swanigan, Michigan with no LeVert, Maryland with no Stone, Rutgers with no Sanders.

Would they have suspended him if they were playing someone other than us?

Depends if the conference, NCAA or the team suspended him? Honestly don't know how that works. Seems like if it's for something in a game it would come from a third party

Every article I've seen says that the school suspended him.

Maryland did suspend him. Generally speaking in these situations, schools suspend the kid on their own so the conference offices don't have to do it for them. It's pretty embarrassing when that happens. The schools can save (some) face when they take the initiative.

So does Vitto Brown's noggin get some credit for tonight's win?
