The Maryland freshman looked good and the Terps beat Iowa State in Kansas City. Don't want to make too much of one non-conference game, but that road game at Maryland looks tougher than I initially perceived. Good win for the B1G tonight though, and as I am typing this Michigan has taken the lead over Villanova in Brooklyn.

On the flip side, Rutgers loses to a 1-4 St Peter's squad.

I'll never understand what Rutgers brings to our conference. Maryland was a stretch, Rutgers was a mistake.

The Michigan-Villanova game was great. Michigan had it in the bag and let it get away late. They look as good as ever though...

I don't mind seeing ISU lose after their annoying fan base trolled our board during the Vaughn recruitment.

TV markets-- The NY and DC markets allow the B1G Network to charge every advertiser more $$.

Competitiveness and quality of the teams brought into the conference had very little to do with it. It was Location, Location, Location

Will help the B10 SOS I suppose.

Carrying off of what others are saying, Rutgers really brings nothing to the conference on the field but off the field they bring viewers eyes. But the flip with that is, if they are no longer competitive, viewers are going to tune out and it really is a lost cause. No one follows a team that loses in everything decade after decade unless you're as dedicated as we here at Gopherhole and those folks are few and far between
