They are. At least in the two games I watched (Michigan and South Florida). They're okay defensively, but their offense is horrifically bad. Obviously there are a lot extenuating circumstances surrounding UConn, but in the grand scheme of things they are a half step over above MAC in status, but not much better overall.

you and all the pig farmers with rabid tempers miss Floyd yet??? I'd get use to it, the hog-eyes are about to go into another 2006 slump, not sure if Kirk has it in him to pull em out again this time.....
 





I liked vann as a prospect, little light for a linebacker, but his film is nice. Not a big blow though with the other linebacker commits and the depth already on the team. No reason to bash uconn, hopefully we can make a bcs bowl someday. Vann was an expected loss as rumor had it he was going to go to cmu, guess he chose uconn instead. Most of the other prospects are solid verbals though and the only other soft is Haughton James, who doesn't wow me at all.

I always found it amazing that we could never get more players from Denver (especially Mullin HS) with Brewster's connection there.

It doesn't sound like we have a great chance to get Willingham.

However, losing Vann hurts a bit but not as bad fortunately for us we have a decent group of LBs. I was higher on Metilus, Mike Moore and even Westerhaus (if he plays LB). Don't get me wrong, I think Vann will be a good college football player and I would have liked him here but at least it was at a position that we have recruited well this season. For me, that is why losing Lacosse hurt more.

It's hard to respect a guy who can't talk to his team face to face. Of course, players are always going to be upset when a coach leaves. But at least be man enough to talk to your players before you leave.

What Bobby Petrino did was the worst. Leaving the Atlanta Falcons in the middle of the season without ever talking to the team.
