Big time athlete with a lot of offers, getting a lot of crap and negative information about Minnesota and he is solid to the Gophers. Say what you will about this class but there are a lot of guy's with the size, speed and athleticism we have needed for a long time at Minnesota and Hill is one of them. This kid is excited to be a Gopher(Happy to be coming here) and a future leader of the program which makes me as a Gopher fan excited. I predict we will have a lot of trolls from other schools dogging us on our boards tomorrow saying a whole lot of junk, dogging our recruits and nothing but "Minnesota sucks" but the time is coming where we can stick those people in there place. Minnesota is just starting to see what these coaches can do. You have to walk before you can run but I can see us running as each season come's before us.

You can hear the footstep's starting to generate the thunder on the turf. The stadium was just the start. These coaches work as hard as any staff we have ever had at Minnesota, looking at way's to get better, hell they work harder and genuinely care about the guy's that play for Minnesota. These guy's put in more work than any group of players we have had before because they are not satisfied with just being the same.

Soon, we are going to be turning out NFL players for years to come with the dedication of the guy's here now and those coming in. Coach Brewster and staff are starting to turn this thing whether you choose to believe or not. You can see it when the Guy's get off the bus, we have some horses and athletes that we have never had before. All we as fan's can do is keep buying our ticket's and renewing our season ticket's and enjoy the ride because being a Gopher fan is only going to get better in 2010 and beyond. Thank you to coach Brewster and the staff for all that you do in making Minnesota better we may complain as fan's but are starting to see the light and that "Rose bowl" turf growing.

I'm a big fan of Marquise, can't wait to see him suit up and hit the field.

Marquise Hill said, “All these schools got these big traditions, always win, always win; it’s nothing new to them. So I feel like at Minnesota when we do win, it’ll be something new,” Hill said. “It’ll give everybody something to talk about. We’ll make history for real.”

Hasn't anyone told him about the National Championships from when his great-great-grandfather was alive?

Thanks dude for your "cup is full" post. Somehow all this hoopla, recruiting and hard work must be translated to the field. Brewster has an extremely difficult, if not darn near impossible task in getting the Gophers in the run for a BT crown going into game 8 in late November.

Surely someone will post an empty cup rebuttal.

Nice post. I don't think aybody is questioning whether Brewster has the support of his players. That is the first step towards getting the program running in the right direction.

Great post. I agree wholeheartedly. People are going to be surprised by the Gophers this year. Everyone's going to pick them to finish 5-7 or 6-6, so when they win 7 or 8 games I hope those same people are patting the coaches and the team on the back.

Let's hope in the fall of 2010 MarQueis to MarQuise becomes a regular occurrence
