Didn't watch closely enough, if what you guys watched Is true, he may end up on practice squad.
Hope he beats the cut. Are there any other Gophers with a chance to land jobs?
I have watched Troy Stoudemire play for the bengals, think he has a good chance there as well.
I believe Stoudemire has already been cut. I heard his name mentioned on Hard Knocks when they were discussing guys that had no chance and he isn't on their current roster.

I read that players make a minimum of $5,000 per week on the practice squad, so not a bad gig.
At least one Bay Area blogger thinks he will make the 53-man.
Marqueis makes this 53-man projection
Here's the excerpt:
Tight End (4): Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald, Garrett Celek, Marqueis Gray
Cut: None
That’s right, four tight ends. Drops have been a problem for Celek throughout camp. He hasn’t shined as a blocker during the preseason, either. Harbaugh often mentions how players often improve drastically from year one to year two, and that doesn’t seem to have happened in Celek’s case. But they’re invested in him and he contributed as a rookie, so that’s why they’ll probably keep him. Gray needs some polish, but he’s big and has taken well to the tight end position. Plus, the former QB has the kind of versatility Harbaugh covets. If the 49ers decide to carry three tight ends, I think Gray will be (and should be) the choice.

Looks like Gray was cut today:

Very sad to hear... he was sold coming to Minnesota because he was a great Spread QB but we switched philosophies too many times... always felt like him & Weber were thrown into bad situations. Weber was brought in to hand off the football & make play-action passes & instead is forced into a Spread Offense he was never designed to play & with Gray he was brought here to run the Spread & instead was thrown into a cluster of different running philosophies... neither fit either QB at their cores... both could've been much better had they just had some consistent coaching...
He's now on the 53 man roster for the Browns.
Great news for Marquis! Really happy for him, and working under Chud and Norv Turner will do wonders for his development as a tight end. That's honestly an almost best case scenario if it wasn't for the fact that everything Cleveland touches seems to turn to dung.
