Marketing campaign to emulate?

Here is a link to PSAs shown at Boston Bruins games and presumably on tv as well. Several are applicable to the Gopher situation (don't date in the division, leaving early)

Have the Gophers ever had an interesting marketing campaign? It really would be a way to raise profile in Minnesota.

Those commercials make me want to be a Bruins fan. Of course, I'm a sucker for kick-ass advertising.

Just saying the words "tremendous", "exciting", and "Rose Bowl" doesn't make it happen.

I won't hold my breath though. Advertising means spending. And the U, and the state don't want to do any of that. They would rather cut arts programs at the U, and raise tuition than spend any kind of money.

speaking of marketing campaigns... Does anyone else remember the old Twins 'get to know 'em' and 'got to see 'em' campaings they did in the early 2000's? It helps that those coincided with when the team became relevent again on the field but I think those helped raise the profile for that young team. Something similar surely could be done with the gophs, they had a good start when they had the ultimate homecoming campaign, but you have to keep it up!
