Mangino has been very low key since he was removed at Kansas. I hope he does well at Iowa State. From the picture in the link, although he is still a big dude, he has dropped a lot of weight.

All of this riles me up a bit. Minnesota should have a rivalry with Iowa State every year before the Big 10 season starts. It's the closest Division 1 school to the University of Minnesota. I know that Iowa State doesn't want to play another Big 10 team each year. My suggestion would be to dump Iowa. It can't do Iowa State any good. Plus, the Cyhawk trophy is the dumbest trophy in college football.

Hopefully Mangino has learned how to treat others during his prolonged time off. It takes a lot of self reflection to make behavioral changes as an adult and I hope he has. The way he treated many KU athletic department employees was disgusting. The stories that came out on the players was just the tip of the iceberg.

Go Gophers!!

They also hired MN/ Woodbury native Louis Ayeni as their RB coach.

He slimmed down some and was on staff at Youngstown State this past season, his hometown.

As someone told me, the "Balance of Power" in the state of Iowa has shifted. LITERALLY!!
