Another quiet night in Bubbleland, U.S.A. South Florida and Seton Hall both lose. For now they'll remain in the mix, but their at-large outlook is not promising. Of note, if Cincinnati knocks off West Virginia tonight, the Bearcats will return to the bubble.

Now have 17 teams battling for the final 6 spots, as I have eliminated Wichita State. There are just too many teams that would get selected ahead of the Wheat Shockers. The Gophers fall out of contention with a loss tonight.

Teams in bold ALL CAPS have earned automatic bids. RPI (courtesy of CollegeRPI.com) is listed in parentheses.

Cincinatti's coach looks like an angry baby. No way they'll get in.

Good stuff SS. College Basketball on all day! Lets go Houston.

1. San Diego State (34) -- vs. Colorado State, 4:30 p.m. (CBS College Sports)

Former NDSU coach Tim Miles told me this game is a lock for his team!!

They've lost twice to SDSU badly, and they are pissed and
on Mar 6, they beat UTAH! Colorado State Rams 76 - Utah Runnin' Utes 67

I thought the last thing he told you contained the phrase "restraining order". So losing badly to a team twice, means that you're a lock to beat them in the tournament, just because you're "pissed"?

you guys like yourself gonna be A___ forever? Tim is a friend of mine, golfed with him, known him for a long time now, so stick it where the sun dont shine!

yes, Miles will have them fired up tonight. and guess what!! I WANT THE GOPHERS TO BE IN THE DANCE... they are my #2 team as always.

#2 ahead of Colorado State?

Looks like Memphis may lay an egg against Houston here. That would be very good for us.

Is Wake Forest really a lock? Only went 19-9 (9-7 in ACC) and it looks like they are going to fall to Miami (Down 41-27) in their first tourny game.

Best 3 wins are @Gonzaga, Maryland, Georgia Tech

Losses against William and Mary, @Miami, @ N.C. State

They look like they deserve to be a bubble team.

Should they be? No. Will they be? Yes. The ACC is going to get thiers. You know that.

They seriously struggled down the stretch too. If they lose today, its something like 1-6 in their last 7 games. If they get seriously blown out by Miami like they are right now, I wouldn't necessarily say they are completely safe. IFFFF they do get embarrassed today, and we make it to the BTT final, we will have a better resume then them, and SHOULD get in over them

They really do not have many strong wins. An early exit in the tournament should knock them back onto the bubble.

absolutely right. however with how weak the bubble is, it will have to take some runs by teams like the Gophers, Ole Miss, Missisppi State, Florida, Illinois, teams like that to knock them out.

actually after looking over Wake's schedule again, they do have too many quality wins to get knocked out IMO. @Gonzaga, Richmond, Xavier, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Clemson. Too many quality wins to get knocked off probably

Southern Miss by 12 with 12:05 to go...

That would be nice to see Memphis and UAB's bubble burst today. Let's just hope it doesn't backfire with Houston/Southern Miss beating UTEP...

Huge huge losses today by UAB and Memphis. These losses will be huge IF we manage to win 2 games. Things look to be going our way so far today. Now let's root for the following results

Colorado State over San Diego State
Stanford over Arizona State
Oregon State over Washington
Auburn over Florida
North Carolina over Georgia Tech

I'm going to disagree with you on one JJ. While it's good in theory for Auburn to beat Florida, the way the other bubble teams are choking, I think Florida's in either way. The winner of that game plays Mississippi State. I think we're much more in line to be fighting them for one of the last spots then Florida. Unless you think Auburn can take them BOTH out (I don't) I think it's better for Florida to move on, lock up the bid they probably already have, and then take care of Miss. State tomorrow. Otherwise, Florida AND MSU are likely to still be ahead of us. Just my opinion.

The same might also hold for Arizona State and Washington. But I don't think either of them has anything locked up and whichever one advances past thier projected semi-final match-up is probably in and the loser is out.

I believe we need to win two games regardless. If Flordia exits early and the Gophers pick up a couple more wins including one signature win over MSU, I say that we leap Flordia.

You could look at it that way. Or you could look at it in the way that if Miss State plays Auburn and wins, it does absolutely nothing to their resume. It does pretty much does as much as us beating Penn State tonite. If we win 2 in the BTT, we move ahead of Florida if they lose, and even would move ahead of Miss State even if they beat Auburn

Colorado State beating SDSU 53-49 with 12 minutes to go. Another team we would leapfrog if we win 2 this weekend. Out of the 17 on the list, and I'll take St. Loius out so 16, 5 are already considered eliminated in Seton Hall, Memphis, UAB, S. Florida and William and Mary. That leaves 11. 11 for 6 spots. Hopefully SDSU loses to shrink that number to 10.

All of this is of course if we can somehow pull off 2 wins

Well we all know that we need to win two. It is looking more and more like those two wins could put us in the tournament.

North Carolina beating Georgia Tech by 10 at half!!!

Colorado State over San Diego State
Stanford over Arizona State
Oregon State over Washington
Auburn over Florida
North Carolina over Georgia Tech

CSU 71 SDSU 72 So close!
Stanford 24 ASU 20 4 mins left in the first half
OSU vs Wash Later tonight
Aub 69 Florida 78 Final
UNC 58 GaTech 62 I hate UNC.

Colorado State had their best player get ejected in the 1st half and STILL almost pulled the upset, ARGH!!!! that sucks!!

I think if Minnesota beats Mich St, they are in!
