Not complaining though as I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. He is very straight forward and honest. I think the TC media will attach to this guy. Maybe KFAN will line him up, that is if anyone listens.

I just watched his interview on bigtennetwork.com. Another kill-shot for the Killah. He nailed it, did an excellent job in that interview, and sounded all the right notes and emphasized all the right things. Whereas Brewster was all bluster and noise, Kill has got a very quiet and humble confidence about him that is borne of experience. I love what he has to say, and I absolutely believe in him.

I was intrigued by Coach Kill after he spanked us this year, and somewhat interested in him when he was named HC at NIU after vaguely being aware of some of his success of S. Illinois. My recollection of his offense was a throwing offense, but the running and physicality of the NIU team surprised and impressed me.

I thought of Coach as a good candidate early in the process, but somehow dismissed him. I allowed my endless dislike of, and irritation with Joel Maturi to immediately doubt the hire.

By the time I arrived at work today I was ready to counter any negativity by the co-workers by pointing out that he was a competent coach, something we were not used to, and that he may well succeed.

I was propared to still rate the hire poorly due the need to sell tickets and energize a fanbase beaten down by the Brewster era. After hearing the first part the PC on KFAN and the Dan B interview I was more exited.

After seeing the replay of the whole interview on TV and seeing the Youtube video of the players meeting, along with the Dinardo comments I am on board and thrilled that Coach Kill was hired rather than some who turned it down.

The only candidate I like better now is Leach. I am thrilled with the decison.

This guy understands the importance not having contant turnover of his staff, he understands the importance of team cohesion, and he values fundamentals. He knows what he need to do, without being overly rigid. I like that Patterson and Dennis Francione influenced him heavily over the years.

The hire of Coach Kill may not have been a Tubby style home run, but it may turn out to be a triple, with no one out and the the top of the order coming up.

He also said he prefers a fairly simple offense, somewhat reminiscent of Boise State's, and I am FULLY on board with that one.

Coach K

He seems to understand the need for both a strong D and O...something we've not seen operationalized in many years.

I like him.

I'm excited for the Spring Game (whatever that looks like).

Welcome Coach K!
