The Gophers football team reports that 42 players had grade-point averages of 3.0 (B) or better last semester, including 27 Big Ten all-academic players, the most in the conference.

YES, YES, YES!!! Thank you Charlie Walters! This is such great news...as I posted in another thread, congrats are in order to Brewster and staff, the kids, and Coach Mason's staff as well for bringing in many of these guys. I wish this was front page news. Unfortunately, that doesn't sell papers...but if we had the LEAST All-Academic selections in the Big 10, you can sure as hell bet that'd be a huge scoop.

You are right

I never thought about that when I posted this. However you are right. If we would have had the least amount of players in the Big Ten in that category you can bet that it would have been a featured article in the paper.
