Might as well do that. At least Wally brings enthusiasm and desire and he's a heck of a lot better choice to hit from the outside and he's not afraid to drive to the basket. EE is much sharper at seeing the open player and getting the ball to the inside.

It doesn't matter who plays. At this point the fundamental breakdown is so bad that not one kid would be successful. The team will need to go back to the very basics and simply drill and drill and drill until they can learn simple things like passing, dribbling and shooting. Tonight's total breakdown was a complete team effort.

Shell, Mav, Wally, Halvorsen, and Ingram. A big F-you to the regular rotation. That's what I'd do.

Wally at least understands basketball you can tell. He comes off the down screens hard. He gets his feet set and gets ready to shoot his jumper. Catch and shoot. He is not afraid to shoot.

Wally is always moving. Nice back cut to the hoop for a layup. He has a feel for the game that Joe Coleman does not. Coleman in the starting lineup is embarassing. His passing makes Ponder look like Dan Fouts.

Strangely enough, I had this very same thought 10 minutes ago. Might as well try it, things can't get much worse, can they?

Well the team needs someone who can at least create his own shot and make something happen offensively. Wally has a ways to go on the defensive side of things, but he is the only guy sitting on the bench who could come in and make a difference for the offense.

I'd sign that petition. Honestly if Rodney is going to play like trash then he needs to come off the bench. At least Ellenson showed some energy and hustle on the court tonight. I've really liked Eliason over this last stretch of games. Probably one of the bright spots of this terrible stretch. I'm just so sick of seeing Rodney mentally checked out like this. Reminds me of watching Sampson for 4 years.

I realize how incredibly low we've gotten, especially in terms of offense, but is jacking up bad shots suddenly a positive because it means a player isn't afraid and plays with passion? I've wanted to see Ellenson play more just like the rest, but I haven't been very impressed with his style of play. Jacking up shots at Chip's rate and playing crappy defense isn't exactly a way to earn more minutes. I guess it's better than a shotclock violation though.

Free Wally! He has the right mentality. Get him some game time to settle into his shot. I don't know if it will happen in time but he's one of the last small hopes that could sparkplug this whole thing.

Coleman and Williams sub for Austin and Wally, Mo and Ingram give Elliot his breaks and Mbakwe and Dre never come out. Perfect. Everyone else can stay on the bench.

Similar to what I was saying last night. I'd like to see one of two things. Either: (1) the big f-u to the regular rotation as you suggest, or (2) large-scale changes to the regular rotation.

One of my biggest gripes about the season where we lost the two PG's was that we didn't try anything new at PG. People can make all the cracks they want about Mav's PG ability that year, but we were losing with Hoff at PG, and if we went with a worse PG (Mav) to at least free up our sniper at his true position (SG), then the worst that would have happened is we would have lost worse. But maybe it would have worked and we could have won a few more games, we'll never know because Tubby never even tried it.

"Just stick with your game plan, it will come" is a solution for when you lose a few games when a few quality shots aren't falling for you. I don't see how Tubby can justify not making some kind of serious change. What's the worst that happens? We get blown out in back to back games?

Well something has to change. I say gve Wally a chance. We need someone who can score and at least he can create something.
