Go Gophers!!

Old news, where they come in is irrelevant - 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. The young team is going to learn how to play, while under fire. Most important is that a core group of players are being developed, hopefully most of them can stick together for the next several years.

Uff-da. I think this is a 4-8 win team in conference. Hopefully closer to the later and closer to the middle of the pack in the B1G. If we can just be good enough to have anxiety on Selection Sunday, it was a good season.

Phew....at least no one picked us for the cellar.

I think wins and losses are not going to be the primary way to evaluate this team. The real evaluation will revolve around issues like:
does the team show improvement from the start to the end of the season?
are players finding clear roles to play and learning to compliment each other?
do they look like they're having fun out there?
is there some flow and continuity to the offense?
can they learn to cut down on unforced errors and silly turnovers?
can they establish an inside game - and/or find a way to rebound?

This will be a fascinating season to watch. I suspect there will be a few ugly games, but I also hope to see some flashes of potential. Just play entertaining basketball, and I will be happy.

rutgers by a landslide. then there's plenty of competition for the second worst team

Agree with Norwegian for the most part. 2015-16 is all about hope for the future. I hate that we're saying that heading into Year 3 of a coach's tenure, but that's where this program is at. By the end of the season I hope/expect that after seeing the new guys 19-20 times in person, will be saying to myself, "We've got 2-3 legit future B1G stars on this roster."

And with that, said players stick around, stay eligible, and/or stay out of trouble.

My travel plans to Indy for the B1G Tournament anticipate the Gophers in a game on the first night. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised, but one needs to be realistic.

I think it depends on health..if we stay healthy, I think we'll surprise people. But, I do wish we had a couple more difficult non conference opponents...if we start bad in the Big Ten that could become a trend because we didn't develop the experience to work through adversity as a team with too many cupcakes before the conference begins.
