Lundardi Bracketology Gophers a 6 seed

I would also take this. But what I find interesting is that he has us as a 6 seed and WV as a five seed. We beat them on a neutral court, ranked above them in both polls and yet somehow they beat us out for a five seed.

Thanks. For what it's worth, Joey Brackets and I differ on 5 teams as we enter February. We tied last year with 33 of the 34 at-larges. (Jerry Palm at collegerpi.com was a perfect 34 for 34)

Joey Brackets has:

Butler (Horizon)
Cincinnati (Big East)
Gonzaga (WCC)
K-State (Big 12) &
Wichita State (Missouri Valley)

in the current bracket, while in their place I have:

George Mason (Colonial)
Georgia (SEC)
Northern Iowa (Missouri Valley)
Penn State (Big 10) &
Richmond (Atlantic 10).

I have no idea how WV can be a five seed. Didn't they lose to Marshall like a week ago??

Butler/Gonzaga as a play-in game. Hmm, I still hate the expansion, but that is interesting.

That Marshall loss on a neutral site doesn't look that bad considering their RPI is 59 in the country. They've played a very tough schedule, and have many very good wins and no "bad" losses.

So we'd be seeded 6th along with Illinois, Vanderbilt and Georgetown. That's some pretty heady company right there, and I could easily live with that. I could also live with it if our bracket shook down like that, as I see every team within that bracket to be beatable, including KU. K-State as a 10 seed would be a little daunting, as in my opinion that's a team that I could see as having the potential of making a serious run in the tournament.

11 teams from the big east. holy *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#!

Per usual there will only be one team from that conference in the elite 8 and 3 at the most in the sweet sixteen and I'm not even sure there will be that many.

I'll take the 6 seed, but I'm not sure Malcom Delaney and Jeff Allen are who i would want to see in the 1st round

a six seems about right for now. I think they might fall a bit and end up with a 7-10 seed when it is all said and done, but hopefully in a place to at least win one NCAA game.

Although it could go the other way with a couple of breaks and end up with a 4 or 5.

Do you think a 4 seed or a 10 seed is more likely?

I don't think they will get up to 4, but 6-7 seems about right.
