Lunardi's Bracketology (12-11-2012)

Hopefully the Gophers end up in Kansas City. Perhaps the Sprint Center will be as good to the Gophers as Kemper Arena was.

Hopefully we can be rooting for a nice seed this year rather than simply making the dance.

Man a three seed has a great path in the tourney. Huge difference compared to a 4 or 5 seed.

Under Lunardi's Top 100, the Gophers are sitting at #10. The bracket byte caption for the team reads, "Almost painfully underrated, but not for long.'

Personally, if we were sitting on the 3-line three months from now, I'd be quite happy. Not sure it's going to get a whole lot better than this from a Bracketology perspective, but I'd be happy to be pleasantly surprised.

It's a bit scary to think we might have hit our Bracketology ceiling in early December.

As a gopher fan of the last 10 years I'm still skeptical that we are being a bit overhyped. A wise man once told me :

"one is never as good as when they are at their best or as bad as they are at their worst...."

and I think it apples to our current situation. That said I could see us coming out in the first couple games of conference play and win thus likely putting us at a higher position than we are currently... If that means we net out to a 3 seed I'll happily eat a plate of crow. Unfortunately with they extremely talented and gifted B1G I cant help but be prepared for a couple dumb losses and perhaps an injury. That all said, I would be HAPPY with a 5 seed, ok with a 7 or 8 seed...

From reading all the threads like these, you can tell our fan base is anxious, abused and wary of success. It's no wonder attendance is putrid thus far.

QFT.

Sh!t we'll be lucky to win one more game.

Ride the Maroon pony.

Robert Morris, San Diego St. then Syracuse....would love that bracket.

I'd settle for anything that puts the Gophs in Kansas City.
