Tielsch received over 25 offers from other institutions outside of Minnesota, including Northwestern, Kentucky, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia among others.
What it means and why it matters: Tielsch is close to 6-7 and a powerful human being, as he recently made the state discus finals in Ohio. The Gophers already have an outstanding offensive line class, consisting of Andrew Trout, Gavin Meier, Mataalii Benjamin, and Daniel McMorris, but adding another giant people mover is always something I wouldn't turn down if I were a Big Ten head coach.

the line recruiting this year is insane. 7 of 17 overall commits so far. and these are the kinds of players i think you still recruit heavily on the HS level (vs skill positions you can also target in the portal) as they need development and S&C at the college level
