Louisville - Last Night

Did anyone watch the game on ESPN last night?

We are going to need serious wing defense and rotation to stop them.

Hopeful that Carter, Johnson, Busch and JAS have the best defensive games of their lives...

We can score against these guys, but can we stop them in the half court?

Yep, I saw it. What I think will be the biggest problem for us will be the sheer strength of Louisville. Top to bottom, they are just stronger than the gophers - we need another year in the weight room to compete w/ teams like this. Louisville reminds me of the good Huggin's Cinci teams of years ago when they just exhausted and beat the other teams up. They're also pretty darn quick. That being said, it is one game and a good team can beat a great team any given day so let's hope. Our second five guys will have to have huge games.

Both teams last nite looked super quick. I don't think JAS has any chance keeping up with them.

They certainly looked strong. But, they did not shoot very well and they did not defend the long ball very well (Mississippi was missing). They also looked sloppy off the dribble. Clark is a monster but he seemed to disappear at times. Maybe he can be tired out. He's on the court a lot.
I,m hoping they leave us open for some of those threes. I also hope we can hurt them with the press, because they are very strong in the half court.Use 10-12 men. Press them and wear them down. Hit those 3's.
