Looks like to-date our Gophers (among B1G) played one of toughest OOC opponents: TCU

Would be between Minnesota vs. TCU and Michigan vs. Notre Dame (based on current AP & Coaches poll rankings). Contrary to some of the local nit-wit blowhards in the Minneapolis/St. Paul media, Minnesota in fact played one of the toughest non-conference opponents. Not Ohio State, not Wisconsin, not Nebraska (hello McNeese State!), not Penn State, not Iowa. Not even Michigan State (although I give them a ton of credit for playing at Oregon as that was in fact a tough OOC game).

Just a thought that crossed my mind while getting ready for work.

Go Gophers!

Toughest opponent. It sure looks like it. Although Notre Dame is legit this year too, and MSU playing Oregon could still end up being the toughest. TCU has the upper hand right now.

Although I wouldn't take shots at Ohio State or Wisconsin. They still had a better overall schedule than we did. Which says a lot about how bad our other 3 games were considering we had a top 10 opponent on the schedule. Overall, it looks like we're 6th in the conference behind MSU, Michigan, Maryland, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Yeah that home and home vs UNC isn't looking so bad now.

To be fair to the U, Coach Kill and Norwood Teague it hasn't looked back for a long time now. Not referring to you at all, but some of the few remaining out there you are stupidly STILL trying to hold that over the U's head are freaking clueless idiots. The U upgraded to a far better OOC opponent in TCU which is something some of the fans and media snarks have been clamoring for and wanted to see. And the U of M ended up making money on the proposition.

win/win for teague, kill and the U of M, imo. Now we just need to win that rematch with TCU next year! :D
