This blurb from Charlie Walters,

"The Gophers football program has a legitimate chance of landing Cretin-Derham Hall 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson, who is regarded as the nation's top prep recruit.

New Minnesota offensive line coach Tim Davis has an incoming freshman son enrolling at Cretin-Derham Hall who is among 60 Raiders football players working out at the St. Paul school on a volunteer basis at 6:30 a.m. three days a week.

Davis, a personality-plus recruiter, will, as a parent of a player, by NCAA rules be allowed to attend team functions the same as other parents. Guess who can now attend the team's parent-player barbecue while other recruiters are on the outside looking in? "

heard talk that JD Pride was invited to camp at Michigan recently as a QB prospect

any truth to this? and if so, what you think the chances are Michigan actually offers him a schollie (as a QB or ATH) in the hopes of luring his BFF Seantrel Henderson?

He was on campus at Michigan last week or weekend I believe but from talking to some Michigan guys, they said there is little chance that Pride will get an offer.

thanks! as a QB? or not at all? i am sure JD is good enough to play (likely as an athlete) at some D1 BCS schools, just hope it is not at michigan, usc, ohio state or notre dame. ;-)

To comment on the topic first spoken on, that's is pretty awesome that we have this inside edge. It's just one more thing that the Gophers can do to help land Seantrel.
