I was just looking at pictures of the locker room and how they have added pictures of past players with what number they wore. It made me wonder if Decker has the type of season we all expect him to will they add a space for him on the wall next season, do they wait a few years or do they even add him at all? I thought it would be a fun topic to discuss.

I personally think they would add him right away if he has the season we expect him to. Just for the fact that he will go down as arguabley the best receiver to ever play for the Gophs.

What does everyone else think?

Yep. I believe he's the only current player that has his own huge picture above his locker.

Made me wonder though....how often will these change? In the future, what will current players need to do in order to get their picture up while they are still playing? Will Weber replace Asaad A-Q (who is the current #8 on the wall) next year? It will be fun to see!

I agree, though....its really sweet that Decker is up there already. He's pretty much the man.

I'm not sure how they will decide who will go on the wall and when. But Weber would not have to replace A-Q. I can't remember which numbers, but there were a lot of repeated numbers.

I noticed some numbers aren't up at all, while others are represented as many as 3 or 4 times by different players wearing the same number. It isn't just a ring of numbers from 1 to 99.

I believe someone said yesterday that to get on the wall you have to be a captain, all big ten or receive some sort of award. Weber has been a captain so maybe it's a combination of a couple of those. The spots over the 8 glass encased lockers are for players that won a national award. Bruce Smith, Eslinger, TC, etc.
