so is the Big 10 finally willing to not have all the states with Big 10 universities touching? Texas is in no man's land as far as that rule goes...I thought that is why Mizzou, ND, and Pitt all make sense

Why would Texas join the Big10? The geography is really screwed up. It's way too south. If the conference is willing to discount geography, then there's a lot of other schools that are closer to the Big10 that would make better sense than Texas.

There was a linked article on the football forum that made a pretty in depth case as to why Texas was the logical choice for the Big Ten and why joining the Big Ten would be attractive to Texas.

what the heck? really? haven't heard this anywhere else. I'd love Notre Dame, they probably won't join, so Mizzou or Pitt would be good options. who would the big 12 pick up if they lost a school?
