Why not, they invited the South Dakota band, and now the USC band let's make it a trifecta and more of a home game for the visitors each and every week. How about three weekends in a row, don't see why not. Roll out the red carpet, encourage the other teams fans to come by the busload, by train and by plane and buy as many tickets as possible as we alway's need the revenue. Bring the Huskies bands, bring the entire cheer teams and the danceline even there regents and yoga classes and competitive crop judging team. All of this really adds to that great home game atmosphere we have been looking for. We really needed to escape the metrodome to have that home field advantage. Have the visitors band blaring away so there stupid songs are stuck in our heads and giving us headaches. Minus well save expenditures, cut the band and bring in the visitors every week. That and we can always pipe in the songs on the jumbotron.
Come one, come all, all visitors welcome especially if you bring your hole school. I'm not serious about cutting everything but this crap about contributing to great college atmosphere has got to go.

AD Joel Maturi want's you at the next Gopher game as long as you have paid for your tickets. Maybe he can have a shiney trophy made up that say's best traveling fan and then award it to the best visiting teams fan at halftime each week. Year two in TCF and everything is turning to horse bleep and Joel keeps touting black and white footage of the vintage past football greatness that is so old now 50 generations of football fans have only witnessed those distant championships on grainy old film. That and we appear head to changing to the "next man up as coach". Firing coaches and starting over never get's old "NOT".

I don't have a problem w/ the USC band being there -- tradition and all that. However, I was watching on ESPN and I heard them pump in some NFL-style "third down music" from the PA on a Gopher third down. Gopher band had already finished their song and the snap was imminent. WTF. Two great college bands present and they are playing NFL music over the PA. Thankfully they only did it once.

All teams are allowed to bring pep bands to away games if thy want to pay for it....the Gophers could travel to away games as well, but they are too cheap to do so.

Frankly there are a lot more important things to be whining about then this.....

The piped-in music embarrasses the entire football program.
