Last year at this time, Brewster had 26 or so verbals compared to 15 to date. Hmmmm.

55-0 and 4 straight L's has to make it a tough sell. The coming days will be very interesting and will certainly test Brewsters recruiting moxie.

The selling point of immediate playing time can only work so long. If that's your selling point every year, than your previous recruiting classes aren't producing. How do you sell immediate playing time to a kid like Bryce McNeal when we supposedly have all of these stud 4* WR's on the roster or committed already???

Got a committment from Daryl Robinson, a four-star JUCO according to Scout.com. Don't know a lot about him other than he preppred in Philly, started his career at Temple and then transferred to West Hills CC in Cali. Is apparently close buddies with Jewhan Edwards, which was a big selling point. In his interview with GopherLady, he said he came down with the idea of possibility of committing during his visit. From a measureables stand point, he looks good. About 6-0, 180 pounds. Rivals also has him at 4.5 in the 40 while Scout has him at 4.36. Hopefully some more info about him will be forthcoming.

Jeremy Gainer enjoyed his trip and its looking like it will between Minnesota and Indiana for him. He's rated a four-star linebacker by Rivals and a three-star by Scout. His buddy Watkins was apparently pretty measured in his analysis, but said he enjoyed his trip and will talk about everything with his family.

Haven't heard from Taylor Lewan yet. But he's always been high on the Gophers, so, I wouldn't expect that to change despite the grotesque effort on the field. Don't know anything about Jermaine Robinson either.

Some more big guys coming in the next few weeks, including Taikwon Paige and Anthony Leon along with commits Alipate and Olson. We'll have to see if anybody else of significance comes along.

because they're comparing us to other schools that they have a less chance of playing more quickly.

Hmmmm. I believe that last year they had a lot more scholarships to offer too. Do you think maybe that may have something to do with it? Just saying.

20 last year at this time with four of those just signed. So considering that we are looking at probably 10 less recruits we're about on the same pace. Plus when you consider that the more highly ranked recruits signed later we're probably just where we want to be.
