I am guessing that the folks over at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex aren't sitting around pondering whether 5 wins or 6 wins are the magic number for retaining their jobs. They are focused on the task at hand - Northern Illinois.
I feel good about the Gophers chances against the Huskies and I intend on cheering as loudly at that game as I would have if our Gophers were going in to it with a 3-0 record.
People may remember that last year I came on here and started a thread predicting that Weber would have the best games of his career the day before the Michigan State game. That was the first and last firm prediction I've made on the Gophers. So I will stake my reputation as a soothsayer on this Saturday Night's game and predict a 16 or more point win over NIU. That would be our biggest winning point margin in over 2 years.
Lets lay aside the coach-choosing, player chastizing, petty bickering, etc. for 5 days and get behind our boys in Maroon and Gold for a much-needed victory.
