Gophers dominating O-Line and Running will wear down CSU's smaller defense - even if they go 8-in the box.

CSU had 5 fumbles against a JV football team. While they put up big numbers, they will not have nearly the success against our D. Richardson will live in the backfield, BBC will get a pick 6. This will be over mid-way in the 3rd quarter.

This game will be the 2015 equivalent of 2014 Iowa.

Go Gophers!!

Slow down there scooter. CSU is no pushover, If this was Kent State or Ohio, I would agree, but this could be a trap game coming off TCU.

I definitely think that we should win this game......but......I doubt that we roll over CSU. They are a solid team......and fumbles are an aberration.

Yeah sorry. I think this is a sure win based on the matchup but what's your definition of "win big"? Or offense isn't explosive enough for me to say this to my definition of winning big. I definitely don't see the 2014 iowa game type of blowout because I do have respect for the CSU offense and their ability to put up a few points. I do think we run all over them and win comfortably by 11-14.

If it isn't, I'll be man enough to come back, twist my words, and say I never said that. This game has all the makings of a front range massacre.

Dang dude you are hitting the drinks early. I'm not judging, just stating a fact. Cheers dude. Go Gophers!

Our defense continues to stand awesomely strong - as they have challenged better passing attacks.
Our offense steadily moves the ball against a D that has yet to stop running teams.
They have a new coaching staff.
They have a new QB who just played a JV team - who is about to face a very real attacking defense.
Jerry Kill is mad.

I'm sticking by my route prediction.

I'll pull out my inner Studwell ... Hope we win!

I wouldn't hesitate to bet against that. We saw no evidence last week of a potentially explosive offense yet. This offense is still finding its way. I would be surprised if the team scores 35 or more today.

There is much recency bias every year in college football. The drop off after a record-setting QB leaves can oftentimes be dramatic, even for elite programs. Will the new QB light it up? Maybe. But a minor tell is that they played two QBs early in their last game, some think the RFrosh is more talented. The odds of a program having 3 elite QBs in the stable is pretty low. Even guys like Cody Kessler struggled mightily in his first starts, despite having elite skill talent.

If we can run, and Mitch has decent protection, watch out. If this new QB is the real deal, we're in a dogfight. I saw how we did last week, pleased with the defense and the run game. CSU hasn't been tested yet. I'm going with the known quantity

A trap game usually follows an emotional victory. Kill and staff know full well what this game is and it is a pivotal game. CSU is a push over if you consider the hype our squad has had since spring practice. A win 3 to 0 would be the same as 45 to 0. The facts are that losing this game could set the tone for the next 5 or 6 games negatively.

I agree. This is no trap game for the Gophers since they lost last week. I know CSU will come out energized to beat a B1G opponent, but Minnesota is going to play even better than they did last week. I expect MN to put this game away by early in the 3rd quarter.

I respect the enthusiasm of the CSU fans who have come to the GH to post, but they need a miracle to win this game and I don't think they will get one today.

A miracle to win? Not quite. I'll give Minnesota the edge as a Rams fan, but I think this will be a competitive game. CSU was a fringe top 25 team last year, and top 25 offense. Bobo should be smart enough to pound the rock and not air the ball out too often against your secondary, although Higgins has the ability to get open and make big plays against the best defenders.

Gonna say CSU has a 40% chance to win this game.

I think you are right! Kill will have these guys ready to play. Go Gophers
