Just a final thought related to Carter's switching to the U, since some of it seemed tied to UWV not keeping in contact with him while the Gopher coaches were. Do you think that one of Brewster's recruiting insights is knowing who are lazy when it comes to recruiting, so he knows certain recruits can still be reachable, even after they have committed elsewhere?

Just a thought...feedback welcome!

I like this Lemming quote....it's in relation to the new rule that you can't visit schools during a period in the spring. Brewster could in 2008...lazy coaches don't like the guys like Brew so they promote legislation that promotes laziness.

"More than anyone else, it hurt Minnesota," Lemming said of the new rule. "Tim got a huge advantage by going out and visiting schools. He was the face of the program. Tim was everywhere in May. I saw him all over. It's a crazy business because once an aggressive coach gets an edge, the lazy coaches try to cut it out."

"A new NCAA rule, adopted in January 2008, prohibits head coaches from visiting high schools during the spring evaluation period. Brewster, a master recruiter, stewed about being stuck in his office from April 15 to May 31. "
