So if the Big East is going to break the record for most bids by a conference this year will it still be possible to arrange the bracket so teams from the same conference can't meet until the Sweet 16? Or has that rule been wiped out?
 

IMO at this early date, I'd guess the Gophers get a 7 or 8 seed when it all shakes out....yes, their THAT good.
 


Ask me after the tOSU game. If we win both early at home, and don't completely collapse the rest of the year (10-8) plus a win in the BT tournament and we are a 9/10 seed. 12-6 plus a BT tournament win and we are a 6/7 seed.

We don't win both those games and we may not be in the show...unless we win all the rest of our home games and 4 on the road or the BT tournament.

I think when the year plays out, the Louisville win will not be as good as we thought it was when it happened...Louisville not in top 25 by year end...IMO.
 


I don't want to be the downer here...but we really shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. We won a huge game against Louisville, but the Big 10 has a good number of quality teams.

Keep in mind, really no one had us even making the tourney this year. Now, based on a relatively weak non-conference schedule and a Top 10 win, people here are not only predicting an NCAA tourney bid, but a 7 seed? It's way too early to know how our W/L column will turn out, given the nature of the Big 10 this year. Let's just take it one game at a time...

Agree, the Big 10 is really a dogfight this year. Even Northwestern is much improved. I think 6 teams will be Dancing from the Big 10.
