Gopher Illustrated has a very leading post about the Gophers offering Cavonte Johnson DB from Edina for 2012.

Anybody have any details? Was it a full scholly or a PWO?

It's for a PWO. He said he's 99% sure he's going to do it and Kill told him he can earn a scholarship next year.

And (if true) he turned down Air Force - sounds like a good get, athletic and academic

Preferred Walk On.

For some reason that was too tough for Zambam to tell you.
I figured he knew what it was and was asking if he is a PWO, considering we've had multple topics on here about PWOs I figured he would've asked by now.

You could be right, I may have misread the situation.

Like the unexpected pipeline from my adopted hometown Edina. C'mon EP and Cretin get with the program.

Theres a all state rb from anoka visiting ndsu this week, josh verness. Why are these fguys falling through cracks this late? Obviously there not big names, are they d2 types?

I don't really think they are falling through the cracks. It's simply the way it has always been and we are just more aware of it now because of how closely people follow recruiting. Minnesota will always have a ton of really good football players, All-State type players, who are D2 and D3 kids.

That isn't to say that some of them might not end up being good enough to be D1 players, but that's just because recruiting is an inexact science.

The fact it is NDSU and not some helmet school or big time program ought to say something as well. Besides, technically these boards are not privy to things like grades and other intangibles that are involved with the process.
