It feels like it's been a lot longer since Barber and Maroney tore up Alabama's vaunted run defense in Nashville.

How about ending the year with a W for a change?

Agreed, would be a great time for Brew to rein in that first bowl victory.

I hope they can pull it out today. It would be nice to hopefully build something for next year.

They Have to be 11-2 in Bowl Games !

That can't be right. I remember watching the Texas Tech game. The Gophers had a 38-7 lead with 5 minutes to play in the 3rd Quarter. Nobody has ever lost a lead like that.

In the Virgina game, Minnesota had a 21-7 lead with a few seconds to go in the First Half. The vaunted Gopher running attack couldn't have coughed-up that lead!

Then they beat Alabama, Oregon and Arkansas.

Two years before the Arkansas game, they had a 24-8 Halftime lead against North Carolina in Ft. Lauderdale. They must have won that one. Hell, Tellis Redmon ran for TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX YARDS in that one!

Against Oregon at the Sun Bowl in 1999, Minnesota had a 3 point lead with two minutes to go. Billy Cokerham had already been named the MVP FOR GOSH SAKES! Jike, you're telling me we lost that one too?!!!!!!!:mad:

No, the Gophers beat Clemson in 1985, Maryland in 1977 and UCLA in the Rose Bowl in 1962.

The other Bowl Game they lost was against Washington in that same Rose Bowl in 1961.

My calculations make them 11-2 in Bowl Games.:drink:

Give Washington and Kansas their just due. They beat the Gophers fair and square:banghead:

Jike;

I just looked it up. I guess your were right.

Sorry.

That is a depressing list of lost opportunities! Gopher fans really are a Hearty bunch aren't we!
