I like the tier format for the last six games, would make it interesting

East/West Divisions.

Play your division twice = 12 games
Play other division once = 7 games

BTT:
Top 4-6 teams from each division play in a tournament(seeded....and cross-over).

Couldn't we just dump the cupcakes from the schedule and play every team twice? That would still leave room for the ACC game, and maybe we could even retain a cupcake or two.
