Former Webb City High School football star KiAnte Hardin is beginning his second season with the University of Minnesota. Hardin played all 13 games last season as a true freshman last season as a defensive back and kick returner. News Talk KZRG asked Hardin if playing for a successful program like Webb City helped him adjust to playing Division I football.
“I’d say it did..the weight program, being in football, constantly watching film, things like that all the time. Just always doing football stuff.”
He says he was fortunate to be able to play right away for the Gophers. “It’s always a blessing to be able to play as a freshman for anybody. I tried to make some plays when I was out there and ended up being the (team’s) Defensive Freshman of the Year.”
