We lost our offensive and defensive coordinators on the same day at one of THE most critical junctures of the signing period. A lot of credit must go to Brewster and the assistants for holding on to every recruit and adding two more.

No shit. I posted earlier that a great job might be to just sign who they've got. So definitely a job well done by Brew and Co. Impressive.

Good post ncgo4! To lose both coordinators and not lose the foundation of a class says a lot about Brewster, the position coaches and the overall feel of the program. That's a great sign.

Go Gophers!!

I would like to announce that Brewster did not lose me as a season ticket holder. He recruited me to the end and I will be in the stands for 2009.

I'm amazed that we didn't lose one kid in all this. Paige would still be here if he could spell Gopher. Awesome job Brew & Crew

Read somewhere that coz was spotted in florida sometime last week, I wonder if he visited Carter and sealed the switch?! If so congrats Coz he is a stud for your D!

Two years ago we had such massive holes and lack of depth I thought it might be 4-6 years before we had a solid team. Just two years later I can't think of one hole. Our depth is vastly better though still lacking in experience.

Brewster has done an outstanding job at not just bringing in good talent but the right talent. I'm quite impressed with how quickly he was able to address the team needs. Players may move around as they develop in unexpected ways, but gone are the days when players are playing out of position because they have to.

It'll be fun to watch this team develop.

Yes, we are light years ahead of where we were just after Dom Jones, Alex Daniels, etc. were kicked off the team.

Well done, staff.

Dunbar wasn't a recruiter. He is listed as primary for Ryan Grant and shared with Lee for Alipate. Roof isn't listed with any of the 09 recruits although his recruits may have been assigned to other staff when he left.

I agree though that the staff did very well keeping the verbals in tow.
