The Gophers football team displayed it's up tempo pace of practice to fans for the first time this fall.
"We need to get these guys moving faster than they ever have before. I want a game day to feel slow to them. That's a big reason why I want to move the pace of practice so quickly," says Gophers Head Coach P.J. Fleck.
"In a practice that lasted one hour forty three minutes we got in about ninety plays. It's going to take some time for these guys to get used to how practices will run, but we'll get them there," Fleck adds.
Nearly 300 fans showed up to watch practice that was open to fans and the media. Minnesota will host the University of Buffalo in less than four weeks so time is of the essence.
"I like what I see with some of our players and others have a ways to go. What we're doing here will separate the ones who grasp our system and we'll look for them to see more playing time," Fleck says.
