ESPN has some of the best programing from Mike and Mike to Jim Rome to Collin Hurd, Mike Terico, you get the picture. This is big time radio coming to Minneapolis, Saint Paul. I couldn't be happier. The only thing that would be better is if Learfield would hitch their broadcasts to 1500 and dump Dave Lee.

That's a BAD idea, mostly because you can't hear KSTP west of Highway 25, even after nightfall. KOA, WSM, and WBBM all come in better than KSTP does.

But you're spot on about the rest of it. The FAN's days are numbered.

Jim Rome's radio show is actually on Fox Sports radio, only his TV show is on ESPN, but you have a point nevertheless. I may give it a try. I actually like Reusse generally, but his morning show was only about 10% sports and 90% BS.

Wow..this is big....

for sports fans in our market. It obviously means KSTP gets 1st crack at all ESPN stuff, and KFAN will go all Fox I would presumre for their network stuff. Does this mean KSTP goes network in morning drive time? That would be interesting if true.

Isn't this a change in name only? Isn't that afternoon lineup basically the same cast of characters? I guess if they get ESPN that would be a change, but that doesn't really impact the local angle.
