Kluwe OK with field conditions; Rice calls it "worst, most dangerous"

Unfortunately, the field conditions were great for the Bears. Sounds like Rice really let it get into his head, the field was fine.

The Vikings certainly played like a team that was more interested in whining/worrying about the field conditions than winning the football game. What a bunch of pu**ies. It's no surprise there record is what it is. I'm sure Bud Grant was laughing all week listening to the complaints about the "hard ground".

It was just a storyline. I saw some of Favre's presser after the game and he went out of his way to comment on how great the field was. No problems. Much ado about nothing. Steve Young also said in pregame the field was in MUCH better shape than many of his occasions playing in Candlestick.

Bud Grant took off his jacket, and was wearing short sleeves when the former players carried him off the field.

This, the fact that Rice openly admitted to thinking about the field throughout the game shows why he had 2 receptions for 23 yards and it speaks volumes about his mental toughness.

To be fair to Rice, he does play receiver, which involves a lot of cutting and all that, plus he's coming off hip surgery. I can see where he'd be concerned....much more so than any punter would lol. I'm sure if he wasn't coming off surgery, it wouldn't have gotten into his head as much.

As has been stated: it didn't bother the Bears. Rice should have called in sick and gotten an excuse from his mommy. The receiver knows where he is going. The D-backs have to respond. It's tougher to cover a receiver if conditions aren't perfect because the receiver always knows his route (Or maybe some of those receivers don't know their routes...) Rice is a non-factor-type when the going gets tough. Get him and that team he plays with out to LA...the sooner the better.

If you agree to stop posting, I will join the "Vikings to LA" bandwagon. And for people who know me, that says a lot.

How many times have you been banned from this site? How many times does it take to get a person to understand that they're not wanted? It's pretty sad and pathetic, actually.

Hester didn't seem to have any problems running and cutting on the field.

OUr punt coverage was so bad on that play that I don't think Hester really had to make 1 decisive cut.

This is true, that was probably his easiest of his 14 returns in his career. Just pathetic.
