They mentioned in the video you linked, that it was 'down close to freezing' so i wonder if the logos simply don't hold up as well when subjected to colder temperatures.
 

Too bad the terrible announcers were so excited about this that they failed to even tell us what the 5 yard penalty was about right after that. I'm assuming it was too many players in the huddle but it was never mentioned.

ha! yeah, joey galloway and whoever the lady is are really bad announcers. i think this may be their one and only season working together for espn. impossible to listen to. each of them say so much nonsensical stuff that it is borderline comical. two thumbs way down for each of them. they do not do the profession of announcing any favors with their well below average skills.
 

It's kinda like the expression "can't walk and chew gum at the same time". It's like they're only capable of thinking about one thing at a time.

I think the problem is in the helmets themselves. I could be wrong but I thought when the new helmets were introduced it was mentioned that the paint was textured. If that is the case, the stickers aren't going to stick to them as well as if it was a smooth paint. Add the weather conditions we experienced today, the stickers are going to be easier to get know led off.
 




This happened a couple years ago with the Gophers and a few other time recently with teams around the country. Did they used to laquer over the shell of the helmet and the logo was underneath?

Agree, they are bad. But I think that they were better than the week before at Iowa. However, that's not saying much.
