While watching the Mizzou -ASU game I was reminded of coach Kill's obsession with discipline. One of the ASU players committed a stupid personal faul. As he was coming off the field coach Erickson was in his face and the young man turned away and show boated along the sidelines.

The play was stupid. Erickson's overreaction was stupid and hardly a "learning" moment. Finally, the player's reaction, was stupid. I cannot imagine this happening under Kill. Oh, the young man would have heard about the personal foul, all right. I just don't think it would have turned into an ugly public spectacle.

Every day I like his entire approach more and more.

I keep thinking about all the negative exposure Notre Dame got last weekend because of Brian Kelly's sideline antics. Then I think about how Jerry Kill tapes the sideline activity on game days. Sure he'll get upset, but he knows, just like Kelly now does, that there are cameras on him all the time and that accountability is important.

I was watching highlights of 1995 Nebraska/Miami Orange Bowl yesterday. Erickson's team was a disgrace in terms of behaviour and showboating.

Dennis Erickson continues to be over-rated and a disgrace to college football. Always has been, always will be.

ASU let that game be way closer than it should have been with stupid boneheaded mistakes over and over.

If you watched the game today, you saw a number of mistakes by the Gophers. Obviously, the team needs to do better.
