Go Gophers!!
Go Gophers!!
So, now with the addition of the bleachers in the open end, what is a sellout. Anyone know the number, sellout/capacity.
Thanks.

Was about to post the same thing, but Bleed like always is right on top of it. Feels like a sell-out to me for three reasons:
1) - Perfect weather forecast. 55 degrees and sunny as of now.
2) - Magnitude of this game. Maybe there's some recency bias here, but this feels to me like the most important Gopher football game in quite awhile.
3) - Lack of tickets available on secondary market as of now. Stubhub only has 440 tickets left, and only 34 of those are upper level seats. People who want cheap seats will have to buy through the box office.
I can't go to the game, but if I buy tickets and don't use them, would they still count towards a sellout?

I believe the original capacity is 50,800. And I think the extra bleachers set up amount to 1,700. That adds up to 52,500 total capacity.
Anyone have any idea how many tickets are typically sold at the windows the day of the game?

It varies greatly based on who we are playing, the weather, and the excitement surrounding the program. On a lousy September afternoon vs. Eastern Illinois the box office may only sell a couple hundred seats, maybe 500-700 at the most. On a beautiful day vs a B1G opponent I think the box office should be able to sell close to 1,000 tickets, if not more. Plus the lack of the supply in the secondary market should drive people towards the box office.
Source: I buy/sell tickets occasionally to make a little extra money while in school at the U so I follow this stuff fairly closely.
I think MSU had already clinched, so the Sconnie game didn't matter as much.Wisconsin last year was the biggest game in the Jerry Kill era. There were title implications in November on the line.
If we don't break the attendance record this week, we'll certainly break it against Iowa if we're 7-1. That game is a guaranteed sell out if we're 7-1.
Then we'll probably do it again without the help of the visiting fans if we're 8-1 against OSU.
I think MSU had already cliched, so the Sconnie game didn't matter as much.
I can't wait for Saturday! I am having a tough time getting any work done. Can anyone make the clock go faster?
Do this instead!I can't go to the game, but if I buy tickets and don't use them, would they still count towards a sellout?
+1^ love thinking about 7 or 8-1. Sounds fun. Loud disruptive fun atmosphere Saturday goes miles towards those.
There's a single seat in our row that is always vacant. It shows as sold/not available on gophersports.com. I will take that as a good sign.
It looks like the only sections with significant numbers remaining unsold are 203, 204 and 205. I count 183 for section 203, 296 for section 204, 42 for section 205 and 17 for section 206. After that, there are some single seats, not a whole lot of seats together.
