Kill vs. Neuheisel

The last season Minnesota had a returning HC and at least 1 of the 2 coordinators returning the team started 7-1 and was ranked #20.

Reading this article makes Neuheisel sound a lot like Brewster. Always positive in the eyes of failure, rotating coordinators and switching offensive systems midway through his coaching tenure. In the end the results were the same...the coach got fired in 4 years. At least the Bruins are in the Pac12 championship game, although USC should really be there.

UCLA is, and may be for eternity, the worst BCS Conference Championship game participant ever. Oregon wins 70-14.

Why should a team who cheated to get to the top be in the PAC 12 championship game?

I thought the same thing.

The last off-season where we kept both coordinators was what....back under Mason with Lockwood and Browning ('05 and '06)? Brewster never had that.

Neuheisel's biggest successes came from dirty programs. There were issues at CU, and the Rose Bowl team he had at Washington was one of the most thug-ridden squads outside of south Florida. I assume that UCLA forced him to keep a tighter ship, which exposed him as not really being that good of a coach after all.

Contrast that with Kill who has been proven to be able to coach lesser recruits up to a higher level, and I'd agree - I'd rather have Kill at this point.

I don't think you can say that USC cheated this year to become Pac 12 south leaders. The cheating that occurred during the Reggie Bush era has nothing to do with this current crop of SC players. I would rather see SC in the Pac 12 championship game simply because it would be a much better game. As it stands, this game will be over by the first qtr.
