Why choose not to receive the opening kick-off?

Kicking 2 kick-offs out of bounce~~~!!!!

On the on-side kick - why not kick a pooch high wedge over the 10 players waiting for the on-side kick?

wHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR RETURN game???

I think a kicker who can keep kickoffs between the sidelines might have been enough to win it today.

For both points 1 and 3, remember hindsight is 20-20, it sure helped us getting the ball to start the half and drive down and get a score. Set a tempo for the second half. Great comeback by the Gophers. Onside kicks seldomly work, go with whatever way the coaches feel most confident in. Point 2, our kicking game hurt us today. Point 4 - I wonder the same thing.

I think the kickoff plan is to kick to the side so they can squeeze the coverage??? They have done this all yr, Ellestad, has done well until the last 2 weeks. Just let him kick the darn ball and cover it. Onside kick was the correct thing to do. It is a low % play but they had to do it. The D had not proved it could stop Ill.
