While it’s perhaps a bit like worrying about muddy carpets after the cabin got leveled by a storm, but I am favor of letting the young man from Alexandria giving it a go.
 

Yup. Time to give somebody else a chance. If we can’t count on making some FG’s > 40 yards that could cost us a few close games.
 



I think the OSU pass on the punt return was a direct result of our punter out-kicking the coverage. It was like Day gave us something to think about going forward. Still, his punts were amazing, and as mentioned in the previous post, the highlight of a dismal evening.
 


We've had a good run of reliable kickers the past 5-6 years, this has been awful

Our kickers in the 2020 short year weren't reliable. We lost two games in overtime that year because of missed kicks - a field goal against Wisconsin and an extra point against Maryland. Trickett, in his first year (2021), only made 68% of his field goals. He was much better in his second year.
