May want to turn it on if you're not listening...
Tongue-in-cheek celebration of the NIT win(s)
Funny they don't rip the vikings for being a joke last season.
Sludge is the only guy in the morning that even likes basketball and he dislikes the gophers and has no real knowledge of the sport. I stick to Mike & Mike or NPR, miss Dan Patrick when they had 690am.
How would you know if you don't listen? They rip the Vikings all the time. There has been lots of doubt raised over the Vikings and their lack of movement in free agency.
We like the Gophers, we're fans, so we're always happy to see our team win. But let's be honest, the NIT doesn't mean much other than us seeing some wins that we hope will help us next year. Almost no fans of any team minus MN and Stanford will be watching Thursday. A NIT championship or being Runner-Up is likely not going to be the swaying event to recruits. More of a joke was the tournament the lady gophers basketball team was in, but as a fan, I'm happy they won as well. Quit being so thin-skinned.
May be true, but not all of the way true. I watched the NIT championship last year, and while other fans may not see the importance of these games, they most certainly are.
I disagree. A "true" Gopher fan will watch and it's great exposure for the school and experience for a young team. Your analogy is like saying that if the football team makes any bowl besides a BCS bowl a "true" Gopher fan would not watch it.I agree they are important, and certainly hoops junkies will tune in. But I bet 90% of people that would classify themselves as "Gopher Fans" will not be watching the championship nor could even tell you who we are playing. That would be far different if we were in the final four. Anyway, common is a dink most of the time so this is nothing different. Just ignore him and move along.

KFAN must not be able to find anyone else to fill that time slot.
KFAN ignores Gopher basketball because they don't have the rights, so it's not in their best interest to stir up excitement. KFAN talks about the subjects fans are most passionate about, and sports that they carry. It's why I don't listen nearly as much as I used to.
He's had his own show for over 15 years so it appears KFAN isn't looking for someone else.

It's more like 20+, isn't it?
A guy is outraged by the Common Man? He hosts a 3 hour comedy show, if not interested don't listen. His bit does include ripping Minnesota sports teams... This outrage is similar to a liberal watching Colbert and being offended.
Funny they don't rip the vikings for being a joke last season.
Common Man rips everyone, including himself and other KFAN employees...You haven't listened in over 20 years I assume? It's funny they don't rip on themselves for the worthless shows they all produce. I haven't listened to them for years. Just turn it off, you'll be much better for it and won't miss anything valuable.

A couple 13, 14...

Common is the only KFAN guy that I like. You shouldn't be hurt about his disinterest in the Gophers the guy isn't interested in the Vikings either. It's not really a sports show.
Furthermore, Common was actually kind of giving them props today. He said he'd rather have an NIT run than lose in the first round of the NCAA. I disagree, but that certainly isn't minimizing the Gophers' run.
