It's early in the year and we still don't know enough about the 2012 version of the football Gophers but if a few things happen I think a win should follow: 1) game in and game out we need to take care of the ball especially important on the road. 2) the offensive and defensive lines needs to be able to control things, individually not try to do too much but take care of their respective responsibilities. 3) our youth wins the match up over Vegas's youth. 4) win the special teams battle, need more consistancy especially from the punting game. Any additional thoughts???????

Fast starts are key. Especially with this team being so young, I'd imagine they would start to press in a hurry if they get down 1 or 2 scores. Fast starts breed confidence, lets the D get more aggressive and keeps the crowd in the game/out of the game depending on location.

* Do not get arrested between the team arrival in Las Vegas Wednesday and when the buses leave the hotel for Sam Boyd Stadium
* Arrive at Sam Boyd Stadium
* Correctly put on pads
* Follow path from locker room to field to arrive on playing surface on time to avoid forfeit.

** Do not attempt to bribe the referee during the coin toss**
**When shaking hands with the opposing captains, do Not ask "where are the hookers?"**
**Do not ask the ball boy, "Did you ever take a shower with Jerry Sandusky?"**
**Do not send out one of the student managers to get a bet down before kickoff**

Scoring more points than UNLV is the key to victory.

*A two-point conversion is not "doubling down".
*Do not "stand" on third and 17.
*The refs will not comp you with a first down.
*This is not blackjack. Hit every single time, and hit hard.
*Football has trick plays, not bluffing.

I predict 7 turnovers and the team that turns it over least will win.
