Kevin Lynch on Gophers NIT run: "I think it's significant what they're doing."

"I think there is a bit more buzz around this team because they're still playing," Lynch said. "People want to know, 'Did you watch the game last night?' And 'What do you think of Rodney Williams?' Hey, let's face it. I think it's significant what they're doing."

"To me, they're not necessarily a new team, but they're just playing different," said former Gopher Quincy Lewis, who still has strong ties to the school. "Tubby finally shortened his bench, where he's not playing 10, he's only playing seven. He's depending on more guys to go up and do some things. The first time you make a mistake, you're not necessarily coming out, the second time you make a mistake you're not necessarily coming out. He's letting guys play through it, and I think you see them coming together and playing."

Go Gophers!!

Quincy Lewis makes a great point and I am glad Tubby did that.

I am fine if he wants to play hockey in the non conference schedule, when they play mid-majors we should beat, but in tournaments (Atlantis), the Big 10 and the post season we'd better have a 7-8 man rotation and certain guys should see 30 minutes.

Keep in mind Ralph and Otto were not available.

I don't care what the reason is for Tubby's change of tactics. I love Tubby but hope to NEVER see the "line change" again.

That misspelled name is much better than 80% of Gopher football fans, who even after 4 years of the quarterback starting, still called Adam Weber, "Webber".

Nolen and Nolan was a terrible one.

For some reason the team is shooting much better. At least in part because we have a point guard that can shoot.

The other positive is that they are actually moving on offense rather than standing around like they did earlier in the year. The movement has resulted in better shots and better shot selection.

That's largely because a center is now starting who actually moves.
