Saw this in a tweet a couple minutes ago that it was lost in the news of Arkansas. Another MAC coach to the Big Ten.

Many reports just not confirmed according to footballscoop.
 

Only seems natural, that's where we go for our coaches nowadays lol
 

Big Ten experience from his time at Ohio State. Seems like a pretty solid hire for the Boilers.
 

With the Bielema news, I thought Purdue may not get it's first choice with the Wisconsin job opening up. But I guess they got their guy. Good hire.

as of 6:00pm Tuesday, it is by no means a done deal for Hazell. It could certainly still happen, but it's not official yet. I think Wisconsin may have a say in this.

Also, Hazell was not their top choice. He was at least 3rd, maybe even 4th.

Dave Dorean was #1 - not really interested went to NC State
Sonny Dykes was #2 - wasn't really interested
Butch Jones was #3 - will end up at Colorado or stay at Cincy

Well I could see how you wouldn't want the guy who LOST to NIU, the worst team in Post Season play. That would be an atrocity! ...:cool:
 

Bruce Feldman is now saying Hazell to Purdue is back on
 

Hazell probably called Barry. Barry said no.

Yes, Northern Illinois has no business playing in a BCS bowl. It's not their fault, I get it, the rules were recently changed to allow this B.S. but it's still a joke.
