According to a tweet from Marcus Fuller:

Kelsey Barlow has been dismissed from program; Byrd suspended for MSU game Sunday after PI arrest

----

Wow!

Is the county pronounced "tippy canoe"? if so, that is a sweet county name for We Laugh at You to reside.

Barlow left his credit card at a bar. When he tried to go back in and get it, the bouncer wouldn't let him in because he was drunk. A minor scuffle broke out and there were cops right there on the street. Byrd got arrested for PI because he was running his mouth but Barlow was not arrested. Byrd's charges have already been dropped but he's still suspended for the MSU game on Sunday. Barlow was dismissed because of a zero tolerance policy put in place for him because of prior incidents.

I have no problem with the decisions made by Coach Painter, however, this sort of thing gets swept under the rug at most schools. Unfortunately, it will cost them a chance for a big win Sunday vs. MSU.

Seems like a stiff penalty when he was not cited for any illegal conduct. Several posts on Purdue boards indicate several other players were there but only Byrd and Barlow were publicly singled out (the posts may not be accurate). What did Barlow do in 2011 to be suspended for the NCAA tournament? Likely it was more than drinking, since it appears he did not think drinking would lead to dismissal. Hopefully, there is more to the story as Painter always seemed reasonable.

Didn't he punch one of his teammates in the face or something? Or was that just a rumor? Maybe I'm remembering wrong altogether.

Barlow has been on thin ice for awhile. His suspension last year just before the NCAA Tournament was due to his extra curricular activities off the court. Painter made him sign a "contract" saying he would behave but the incident on Thursday night violated that contract, so he was dismissed. Although a talented player, he had been a cancer in the locker room and many people close to the program are not surprised by this at all.

Barlow to Iowa St? ;)

My guess is Notre Dame where his old man played. Mike Brey takes transfers just as much as Hoiberg. Believe it or not, this kid could play in the NBA some day given the right situation. He was Purdue's version of Rodney Williams.
