As the Gophers gear up to go against Auburn in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida, there are a handful of Minnesotans who are also gearing up to be a part of the show.

Football has always been exciting, but you can't forget about the other elements of a good bowl game. The music, the pre-game and halftime shows. There's so much more to celebrate!

"This is much more than just dance," Just For Kix Minnetonka director Kelsey Vercruysse said. Vercruysse, along with her daughter and a handful of other dance families will be traveling down to Florida to perform.

"All of the years that Just For Kix has been going to the Outback Bowl, this is the first time that the Gophers will be there so everyone in our community is overjoyed and so excited," Vercruysse said.

Just For Kix is a nation-wide dance program, but it has Brainerd, Minnesota to thank for its beginnings. Founder Cindy Clough said having Minnesota dancers was always a thing for the several decades that Just For Kix has been a part of the Outback Bowl. However, this year's the first time she will see Minnesota dancers cheer for a Minnesota team in Florida. She said it's been her dream to see that.

"We're like an all-star team of 14 states but primarily Minnesota is our biggest base," Clough said. "We had a lot of years when we had Wisconsin kids and the Badgers are there, we had Iowa kids and the Hawkeyes are there. But this is the first time we have Minnesota so we're excited."
