It's only two days into practice, but it's as evident as ever. Terms that used to apply to Gopher football, like slow, lumbering and unathletic don't anymore.
"This is an extremely athletic group," Gophers DB BrieanBoddy-Calhoun said. "I think we have three or four 5-foot-9 guys dunking (a basketball)."
Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill believes this year's team has better athletes than ever before.
"If I didn't get a premium on it I would have been fired by now because they usually only give you three years," Kill said. "So we put a high premium on it."
