Baylor lobbied a move to have TCU join the Big 12 when the Southwest Conference was dismantled. I guess karma's a bitch.

I used to teach at TCU and still follow their board. The fans/boosters dislike Baylor because Baylor has been talking smack ever since the dissolution of the SWC. Baylor has belittled TCU as belonging to mid-major, mid-nothing conference, even while TCU has been ranked nationally and Baylor would have had trouble competing in the NAIA.

However, officially, TCU is NOT lobbying against Baylor joining the MWC. Their AD put out a statement specifically refuting the published reports.
